I bought Sims 2 seasons a few weeks ago and today the following happened:
One man froze to death, one got shocked by lighting, 2 different familys starved their children, one woman drown and 2 people got married on their 1st date.

Jeez! None of my sims freeze to death or get struck by lightning! Sure, some of them starve or die from the flu, but none of that stuff ever happens when I play. Maybe your sims live on the Hellmouth.
